Lorraine and Kyle’s early summer wedding was a feast for floral lovers with incredible displays of roses creating a beautiful setting for their Fermanagh wedding.
Fermanagh couple Lorraine and Kyle had known each for years before they got together. During a night out Kyle asked for her number and after arranging a date the couple soon got together. Wanting to surprise Lorraine with the engagement ring they had previously chosen together, Kyle popped the question one normal Thursday evening after work! “Kyle got down on one knee in my kitchen with my daughter, Holly. I wasn’t expecting it at all and after I said yes Holly squealed with delight!” explained Lorraine.
Lorraine loved planning her summer wedding. Being quite an organised person she planned well in advance, and together with the help of her new mother and sister-in-law, who own Skea Flowers, they created a rustic themed wedding, taking place in St Mary’s Church, Kesh, followed by their reception in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen. “Vivienne and Louise were great help with lots of lovely ideas to include on the day which reflected the rustic theme. We chose creamery cans, used rustic photo frames to display our treasured photos, lots of lights and of course the amazing flowers which included David Austin roses, peony roses and trailing Jasmine. The smell of my bouquet was fantastic, as were the rest
of the flowers decorating the church and reception,” said Lorraine.
With her maids in soft pink dresses, Lorraine’s lace illusion neckline gown complemented the overall look of the day perfectly. “I chose my dress in Perfect Day,” explained Lorraine. “I tried on mermaid shaped dresses first but I wasn’t happy with how they looked. My mum happened to say to Sinead, our assistant, that as a child I always wanted a princess style dress. Sinead chose a beautiful Ronald Joyce gown and once I tried it on, there were tears all round!” “Our day was perfect, apart from a small hitch with the guys’ wedding shoes that didn’t arrive on time. I really can’t choose a highlight. From saying our vows to having our photos taken it was all so exciting and we’d do it all again if we could!” added Lorraine. With music by The Liberals wedding band, the couple rounded off their day by sharing their first dance to Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur, followed by a relaxing Mediterranean cruise along the coast of Spain and Morocco.
