Back to the Future: A Heartfelt Autumn Wedding at Galgorm
For Jenna Wade and Andrew Vance, love found its way back nearly two decades after their first encounter—at school. Although they never spoke back then (Andrew insists he “didn’t talk to girls”), fate gave them a second chance when they matched online 18 years later. That spark quickly turned into something real, and just two years after reconnecting, they tied the knot in a beautifully intimate ceremony at The Ghost House, Galgorm Hotel.
The proposal didn’t go exactly to plan—but that only made it more memorable. Andrew had carefully orchestrated a holiday proposal, but an air traffic control failure grounded those plans. Thinking quickly, he convinced Jenna to climb the Mourne Mountains, where at the summit he dropped to one knee. With no way to escape downhill without her answer, Jenna said yes.
Their autumn wedding on 18th October 2024 was a joyful celebration with 100 of their closest friends and family. Jenna walked down the aisle in a gown from Eden Bridal in Belfast—one she couldn’t stop thinking about—even if there wasn’t a cinematic “this is the one” moment. Her two bridesmaids, sister Claire and best friend Katie, wore elegant Azazzie dresses, while the groom and his party were dapper in suits from Kelvin Graham Menswear.
The Renaissance Suite at Galgorm played host to a laid-back, love-filled reception. Jenna’s dad officiated the ceremony, creating a heartfelt highlight of the day. Their first dance to Stargazing by Myles Smith was the perfect prelude to their honeymoon adventure across Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Looking back, the couple wouldn’t change a thing—except maybe stressing a little less over the tiny details. Now, they’re soaking up married life, still floating from the best day of their lives.
