Autumnal Bliss
In your arms, I’ve found my home,
where every moment feels like autumn’s embrace,
forever warm and golden
Natalie Fulton and Ryan Stewart’s love story is a testament to the beauty of serendipity, blossoming amidst the golden hues of autumn. Their journey began right in the middle of uncertainty, just before the second lockdown, when fate brought them together through a simple swipe on a dating site.
Natalie a florist from Greyabbey and Ryan a software engineer from Portadown first met in October 2020 and due to restrictions their first dates consisted of takeaways in the car or long walks getting to know each other along the way.
Their love story reached a new chapter when Ryan proposed on a tranquil jetty in Corfu in October 2022 under a starlit sky. The ring, a symbol of their unique bond, featured a platinum band embracing a teal sapphire, reflecting the depth of their love, with diamonds sparkling like promises of eternity. The stunning ring was chosen a few weeks prior in Lunns Jewellers in Belfast, Natalie knew a proposal was going to happen just not when it was going to happen, ensuring the proposal was a beautifully romantic surprise.
As Natalie embarked on the journey to find her dream dress, destiny led her to Seraphim Bridal, where her friend Catherine unveiled the perfect gown, “Noreen” by Eliza Jane Howell, a dress with pockets, echoing Natalie’s practical yet romantic spirit. Catherine had actually brought a sample of the dress in a few months before Natalie and Ryan got engaged telling Natalie that she had her perfect dress just waiting for her. Natalie told us “she told me she had just brought in my wedding dress and I laughed it off, but once I got engaged I tried on a couple of other dresses (trying to prove her wrong!) but she was right it was the perfect dress for me, it even had pockets!”
Natalie’s sister Georgina and sister-in-law Beth wore stunning seafoam velvet dresses also from Seraphim Bridal and were a Pia Gladys Perey Design.
Ryan along with his friends and groomsmen Stuart and Luke got their suits from The Suit Locker in Newtownards, they were also joined by friends Niall and Davy as ushers and wore their own suits.
Their wedding day on 7th October 2023 set amongst the charm of Magheralin Parish Church and the elegant splendour of Edenmore House, was a celebration of love in its purest form. Natalie and Ryan exchanged vows in front of their loved ones including their brother-in-law who performed the ceremony, with personal touches infusing every moment with warmth and sincerity.
From the seafoam blue velvet dresses adorning her bridesmaids to the bespoke touches crafted by family and friends, every detail reflected the essence of their love story. Against the backdrop of autumnal tones in flowers and stationery, their day unfolded like a fairytale, with laughter and joy filling the air. As a florist Natalie created the stunning autumnal theme through the flowers which were strategically placed to create a picturesque and romantic setting.
As they danced to the melody of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know,” time seemed to stand still, allowing them to savour the magic of the moment. Looking back, they wouldn’t change a thing, cherishing every memory created on their special day. Highlights from the day included having all of their family and friends there to celebrate, watching everyone enjoying themselves, having their brother-in-law marry them made it even more special and personal.
Now, as husband and wife, Natalie and Ryan enjoyed a honeymoon to New York followed by a cruise around the Bahamas. As they embark on a new adventure, hand in hand, embracing the beauty of married life they gave this advice to other couples planning their own wedding “try and enjoy it and not get too caught up in what you think your guests will need, it is your day! Also allow other people to help you as you can do it all yourself but it is very stressful!”
