From friends to lovers, they have stood by each other and will continue to stand by each other
Lean met Conor when they were working together in H&M. After a lot of convincing, Leah finally said yes to going to the cinema with Conor as ‘friends’. Little did she know that it wouldn’t be long before they were boyfriend and girlfriend and moving in together.
Conor proposed to Leah on Christmas Eve, in their first house they ever had together. Leah said “It was so personal and intimate, I loved it.” Conor set up a heart with rose petals and candles with the ring in the middle as ‘Stand by me’ played, Conor attempted to say some ‘cute things’ but Leah interrupted him. Leah said ‘I asked him if he was sure and began excitedly screaming.’ The ring is a trio of diamonds and Leah loves it!
Leah began looking for the perfect wedding dress at Pronuptia Bridal in Belfast. The staff helped Leah find what became the dress she said yes to. She said, ‘I felt amazing, I didn’t want to ever take it off and still don’t want to to this day! I loved wearing the dress on my wedding day, I had so much fun walking and dancing in it. It was everything I had ever imagined!’
In preparation for her wedding, Leah attending wedding fayres as it was always a fun date and she found things she never thought of before. It is one of her favourite memories along with viewing and booking the Ballygally Hotel in Larne. This is where Leah and Conor got married, they both fell in love instantly with the hotel and the staff that worked there. They told us, ‘It was so exciting setting an official date and getting it booked!’
Leah and Conor got married on June 6th 2021, with twenty-two guests attending. They had a colour theme of pink and navy which they used for their invitations, wedding display signs and flowers, they chose these colours for the richness of the navy complimenting the soft pink tones.
The couple said, ‘It was the best day ever!’ Leah said getting ready with her glam squad was so much fun they drank prosecco while getting glammed up listening to Taylor Swift.
“The ceremony was everything I had ever imagined. It was outside, the sun was beaming down with all our close family and friends there.’
Once the ceremony was finished, we were able to take time to look at the months of planning and all the things they made which came together to create their dream day.” When they sat down for dinner, they took a moment and realised, they made it!
For their first dance, they had a little moment hinting back to the proposal as they danced to ‘Stand By Me’.
The couple had so much fun throughout the day they laughed, cried and danced the night away while making so many memories that they will never forget.
One of the little touches that the bride will never forget is the cocktail making they made cocktails named after their cats and had signage with pictures of them drawn on. A beautiful Summer wedding
