Surrounded by their friends and family, Frances and Raymond tied the knot at the Greenvale Hotel with stylish Spring accents and a beautiful pink and ivory colour scheme.
After 12 very happy years together and three beautiful children, Cookstown couple, Frances and Raymond Spence said I do in the spring in front of their nearest and dearest, and of course their gorgeous kids stole the show!
Frances and Raymond first met during a night out in Cookstown. Three years later with the help of their daughter Rachel, Raymond planned a surprise proposal at the Giant’s Causeway. “It was a miserable day but Raymond insisted on a romantic stroll with Rachel and Baby Ray. Rachel was in on the whole thing! Raymond had chosen the ring two months before and kept quiet the whole time,” explained Frances.
The couple were keen to involve their children in their wedding day and chose to keep everything local and using local wedding suppliers. Frances headed to Loughview Brides where she chose her stunning lace gown and pretty pink lace topped bridesmaids dresses. On her wedding day, Frances was attended by five bridesmaids, including her two sisters, Roisin and Jean, Raymond’s sister Karen, her friend Sharon and her gorgeous daughter, Rachel. Her two nieces also assisted as beautiful little flower girls.
Raymond and his groom’s party wore modern cut navy suits from Debonair in Magherafelt, finished off with a grey tweed waistcoat and ivory rose buttonhole. The couple’s two sons, Ray Junior and Matthew, took their role as pageboys very seriously and looked super smart in matching suits. Local florist, Stephen Mallon created an impressive floral arch to greet the 170 guests, whilst Frances carried a shower style bouquet in shades of ivory. “Our day was amazing, everything we had hoped for and the guests had an incredible time,” said Frances. “Our walk or dance to the top table was a very memorable moment.” Following the wedding breakfast guests were entertained by comedian Rodney who went down a storm. The couple shared their first dance to Perfect by Ed Sheeran, and Justin McGurk and the Boogie Men performed and soon had the dance floor full!
