Linda and Ryan had a Summer wedding with a beautiful reception at Castle Leslie. The couple met through friends in 2000 and got engaged the following year, after enjoying a romantic meal at Castle Leslie Ryan asked Linda to accompany him for a lakeside walk where he proposed to Linda with a one carat diamond engagement ring.
Linda and Ryan chose Castle Leslie for their wedding reception and the wedding date was set for 20th July 2016. Linda chose a ‘homely’ vintage/rustic theme for their wedding and when chosing her wedding dress lace was most definitely included, Linda and her bridal party visited Creative Ideas bridal in Armagh where they found the perfect bridesmaid dresses and Lindas dream wedding dress. The couples daughter Ellen and other flower girl Grace had their flower girl dresses hand made by Ryan’s Mother.
Ryan along with his best men, groomsmen and ushers travelled to Red Groomswear in Belfast to hire their suits, they chose three piece brown suits which also included tweed waistcoats.
After the wedding ceremony at Cremore Presbyterian Church the couple travelled to Castle Leslie for their wedding reception where they and their guests where entertained by violinist Eimear Bradley. After a delicious meal the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife to the song ‘only love’ by Ben Howard. The couple both agreed that the highlight of their wedding day was seeing each other at the church and having their grandmothers present. Linda’s advice to other couples planning their wedding is “Not to panic as it all comes together and enjoy every second as it flies”.
