A Timeless Love
“Love is not just looking at each other, it’s looking in the same direction together.”
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
A Grace Kelly inspired wedding took place on 2nd December 2023 for Emma Briege Fallon and Stewart Dunbar in St Mary’s Church, Mullaghbawn followed by an elegant yet simplistic wedding reception in Killeavy Castle Estate.
Emma Briege and Stewart’s paths crossed amidst the bustling halls of Ulster University, where fate wove its intricate threads, bringing Emma Briege and Stewart together. In each other’s company, they found solace, laughter, and a bond that grew stronger with each passing day.
Underneath the ethereal canopy of Botanic Garden, amid the whispers of nature and the fragrance of roses, Stewart knelt beside the ‘marry me rose’ and declared his love for Emma Briege. With a vintage-style ring with a thin gold band and three diamonds from Fred J Malcolm gleaming with promise, he sealed their fate on 21st November 2021, marking the beginning of a new chapter intertwined with cherished memories. Emma Briege was also honoured to inherit Stewart’s Grandmothers engagement ring which holds significant sentimental value to them both.
Emma Briege’s vision of a vintage-inspired wedding came to life as she curated every detail with meticulous care. From her enchanting gown, crafted by Nicolas Montenegro and tailored to perfection by Yvonne Haughey Murphy, to the bespoke bridesmaids’ dresses also made by Yvonne for best friends Niamh McShane and Seana McDonnell, they were also accompanied by Jamie Mallon; Emma Briege’s best friend and Man of Honour who was suited and booted from Bogarts along with Stewart and his groomsmen; brother Robert and Emma Briege’s brother Matthew. Every element of their attire exuded timeless elegance which was just perfect for the vision they had for their wedding day.
On the radiant morning of 2nd December 2023, St. Mary’s Church in Mullaghbawn bore witness to the union of two souls deeply in love. Inspired by Grace Kelly’s timeless elegance, the ceremony unfolded in a symphony of greenery, white flowers, and flickering candles, evoking an atmosphere of ethereal beauty.
Nestled within the enchanting embrace of Killeavy Castle Estate, the reception breathed life into Emma Briege and Stewart’s vision of elegance and sophistication. From the meticulously curated décor to the heartfelt touches honouring loved ones, every detail reflected their love story with grace and poise. The couple brought their vision to life through a lot of different intricacies, they told us “I tried to incorporate this style in most aspects of the wedding, starting with my invites, which were made by ‘designed by Ciara’ who created a custom made invite with a hand drawn picture of Mullaghbawn Chapel door, invites were tied together with a hand pressed baby breath and sealed with gold wax shaped as a flower, all these features tied in with the overall wedding day from my main colours to statement flower and posted in black envelopes which would later match the bridesmaid dresses. When entering the church a half arch welcomed guests, dressed in greenage and baby’s breath along with a beautiful handmade sign, decorated with pieces of hand pressed flowers, welcoming our guests”.
Amidst the joyous laughter and heartfelt embraces, Emma Briege’s nanny’s grace-filled words and Stewart’s adoring gaze stood out as the epitome of love’s enduring power. As the day unfolded in a whirlwind of emotions, surrounded by cherished friends and family, Emma Briege and Stewart savoured every moment, knowing that love had triumphed in its purest form.
As they embarked on their journey as husband and wife, Emma Briege and Stewart embraced the wisdom gained from their wedding planning experience. They found solace in the simple yet profound truth that love, with its unwavering strength, would always guide them through life’s intricate tapestry.
In the midst of planning, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, Emma Briege and Stewart found reassurance in the notion that love transcends the minutiae of perfection. With a gentle reminder that imperfections only add to the beauty of their journey, they encourage future couples to embrace every moment with grace and gratitude.
Choosing to savour the sweetness of home, Emma Briege and Stewart embarked on a blissful retreat to Galgorm, revelling in the tranquillity of each other’s company as they dreamt of building their own haven of love.
As their love story continues to unfold, Emma Briege and Stewart stand as a testament to the enduring power of love—a timeless saga etched in the hearts of all who witnessed their journey.
