A Perfect Day

Retail worker Sophie and joiner Clive could not have asked for a better day when they got married on 2 August 2019.
“There was no best part, we just loved seeing it all come together,” they said, “It was brilliant, especially the weather.”

The Granville couple met when they were young but lost touch for a few years.
They came in contact with one another again in 2013 and the rest as they say is history!

Clive proposed the following year in his parents’ home with a beautiful white gold diamond ring.
Sophie told us, “He got down on one knee and said a few nice things. Then we went and told the family.”

Sophie had a great experience choosing her dress at Paradise Collection in Loughall with her mum, godmother and best friend.
“ It was brilliant. They could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much bother.”
She chose a beautiful lace gown with a sweetheart neckline.

Sophie found stunning bridesmaids dresses online with lace details which perfectly complimented her own dress.
The role of maid of honour was filled by best friend Adele and the two bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters in law, Nicola and Julie.

Clive, his best man Andrew and two groomsmen Christopher and Clive were kitted out at JR McMahon of Lurgan.

The couple were married in St Anne’s Church in Dungannon with 100 guests in attendance.
Little Mya, the couple’s daughter and flower girl could not contain her excitement and rushed down the aisle ahead of everyone else.

Sophie and Clive chose a rustic vintage theme both at the church and the reception in the Rosspark Hotel.
Props including a vintage pram for their baby son Brodie, a wooden table plan display and an old fashioned letter box all brought the theme to life.

The bride and groom danced to Blake Shelton’s ‘God Gave Me You’ as their first dance.

Looking back the couple enjoyed every second of the day.
Though if they were to do it all again they would probably choose not to have sparklers, “The hotel nearly caught fire due to someone lighting all the sparklers inside at one go!” joked Sophie, “We would have less photos and no sparklers!”

If they were to advise other couples who are currently planning their own big day Sophie and Clive would tell them, “Don’t leave it all to the last minute but don’t stress over it all either.”
