Good evening, how incredible is all this sunny weather? We are loving it, and we know over the weekend lots of you lovely couples tied the knot and enjoyed balmy receptions on the lawns of many hotels! Tonight we’re sharing the wedding of Melissa and Philip. Melissa loves bling so that’s exactly what she brought to her summer wedding last year. Thanks to photographer, Ewan Harkness for sharing their day with us. 
As her sister is married to Philip’s brother, Melissa already knew Philip pretty well but after a night out over seven years ago the couple realised they both really liked each other and shared their first kiss. Inseparable from then on, Philip proposed during a trip to New York.
Melissa had been planning her perfect wedding in her head for a long time before she became engaged and it involved lots of sparkle. Together with the help of Orla from Happy Ever Vintage her sophisticated sparkly day came to life with a princess style Ronald Joyce wedding gown, one shoulder Cadbury purple bridesmaids dresses and luscious bouquets of roses with vintage bling brooches. “The one thing I wanted to make myself was the memory table. I wanted our loved ones who were no longer with us to be a part of our day, so I had a table with their photographs and a sign reading ‘If heaven wasn’t so far away we know you would be here today,” said Melissa.
Melissa arrived to the ceremony in a white Range Rover and spotted Philip! “I had just arrived at the church and I spotted Philip walking across from the Church Hall to the church! I nearly fell over trying to hide myself, trust him to choose that time to use the bathroom! Luckily he didn’t see me. Apart from that the rest of the day was perfect! Philip and I both agree that the highlight of our day was when we were pronounced husband and wife; after all that is what the day is all about!” added Melissa.
Following their reception at Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena, Melissa and Philip headed to Orlando, Florida for an action packed honeymoon.
