True Love Tuesday Lisa & Paul Chada... - Getting Married in Northern Ireland Magazine

After knowing each other from school Lisa and Paul had their first date on 5th June 2018. Paul proposed on Christmas Day 2019 with a simple ring from a local shop, meaning Lisa was able to pick her own engagement ring from Gardiners Jewellers in Belfast.

Due to lockdowns Lisa chose her wedding dress over zoom with Perfect Day Bridal, Lurgan along with her mum and bridal party. Bridesmaids dresses for daughter Mia, Lisa’s cousin Louise and sister in law Gitana were from Bridal Glee. Groomsmen outfits for son Kristian who was best man, Pauls brother Krishan and friend Patrick who were groomsmen were from Dee Graham, Magherafelt.

Both Lisa and Paul really enjoyed the build up to the wedding but were a bit concerned in case people weren’t able to make their September wedding due to Covid.

Having a humanist ceremony on 3rd September 2021 at The Elk in Toomebridge with their 130 guests, they both had an amazing day even with the electric going off and then the generator catching fire.
Part of their reception included a candy cart and photo booth along with Indian dancers to bring Pauls Indian heritage to the celebrations.
The highlight of the day for Lisa was becoming Pauls wife, they both agreed that having their friends and family with them was fantastic. Although they did say that they had wished they savoured the day more.
Advice they would give to couples planning their day is to relax and enjoy the buildup and to take it all in on the day.
Lisa and Paul enjoyed a mini moon in Spain but plan to jet off to Hawaii, San Francisco and Las Vegas. They both think that married life is fabulous and would recommend it to anyone, saying ‘being married to your best friend is just amazing”.
