This past June, in between playing for our wee country, Northern Ireland international, Stuart Dallas married his beautiful fiancé, Juneve at a lavish celebration held in Castle Leslie Estate. We’re delighted to share the highlights of their day with photography by 4Ever Photos.
Juneve and Stuart grew up close to each other in Cookstown and began dating when they were just teenagers. As Stuart’s career developed the couple’s relationship grew and during a weekend in Paris in November 2014, Stuart popped the all important question. “Stuart got down on one knee at the Eiffel Tower and proposed. The ring was so amazing – shiny, sparkly and everything I had ever dreamt off!” said Juneve.
The couple were quick to choose a wedding date, as Stuarts profession meant they only had limited dates to choose from. “We chose June 3rd, thinking the football season would be on their summer break, of course, we hadn’t thought of the European Championships in France! In the end Stuart came home from the tournament the day before the wedding, and we headed back to France after the wedding,” explained Juneve.
Juneve and Stuart were married in their local parish, Cookstown Independent Methodist Church. Juneve was very organised with the wedding plans, and along with Stuart they chose to incorporate everything they loved to create their stunning, personal wedding celebration.
“I chose my wedding dress in London shortly after we got engaged. I knew from the start what I wanted but also wanted to give all options a go and try on as many as I could. I searched for the designer that I wanted, who was Galia Lahav, and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the dress – I had fallen in love with it! As it was such a big dress and also heavy, I knew I wouldn’t be able to wear it all day and night and dancing was going to be a problem, so I decided to have a second dress designed for me. I asked Melissa Gormley from Prim & Penny to make it for me, and together we designed the dress. It was exactly what I wanted, Melissa did an amazing job, and she also made the bridesmaids dresses, our little flower girls dress and my Mums dress,” added Juneve.
“The day was perfect from beginning to end. One of my highlights was experiencing Castle Leslie and the gardens, they are breathtaking. I really enjoyed getting our photos taken down by the lake on the tree swing. The whole day was so amazing, and more than I could ever imagine, if I could do it all over again I would in a heartbeat!” said Juneve.
“My highlight was seeing Juneve enter the church looking so gorgeous. The rest of the day was perfect and everything went smoothly,” added Stuart.
The couple visited Bora Bora and Las Vegas for their honeymoon.
