Hollie and Aridan got engaged in Brisbane Botanical Gardens four years after they first met in a local bar in Dungannon and planned their wedding from Australia along with help from friends and family back home.
During a visit home at Christmas time the couple called to view the Slieve Donard resort in Newcastle County Down and were ‘in awe’ of the fabulous coastal setting and the seasonal decortaions in place at the hotel. With the venue confirmed the couple returned to Australia and Hollies bridesmaid Cara set to looking for the perfect wedding dress for Hollie then bridesmaids Kerri, Gemma along with Cara shopped for their bridesmaid dresses which they found at Perfect Day in Lurgan.
Adrians sister Caroline who owns DIGG menswear dressed the groomsmen while Adrians attire was by Statement Menswear in Portadown.
The wedding ceremony was in St. Patricks chapel in Portadown where Hollie and Adrian were joined by 200 guests, the chapel was adorned with flowers in shades of pink and a saxophone player helped to create the perfect atmosphere, guests were treated to ice-cream after the ceremony before the journey to Newcastle.
When the wedding party and guests arrived in Newcastle the Red Arrows display was on and really added a special touch to the day, Hollie says ‘we loved watching it and it made an amazing backdrop for our photos’. Mohammed at the Slieve Donard ensured the day run smoothly – even setting up a TV in the drinks reception area so guests could watch the Tyrone match (tho the couple had arranged a fantastic band the football was more important!!). The couple danced their fist dance to the words of ‘The One’ by Kodaline, and guests partied into the night dancing to music by Platinum.
Hollie and Adrian spent their honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise.
