A Love Story from Uni Halls to I Do!

This is the enchanting journey of Corey McNutt and Gareth Parr, two hearts intertwined in love and matrimony. Corey, a spirited accountant hailing from Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, found her match in Gareth, an equally passionate number cruncher from Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone.
Their love story began amidst the hallowed halls of university, where chance encounters blossomed into shared cubicles and lingering gazes. Five years of laughter, support, and shared dreams culminated in a picturesque proposal at Crom Castle, where Corey’s childhood memories mingled with Gareth’s heartfelt intentions. A ring, radiant with three sparkling diamonds, symbolized their past, present, and future entwined.
As wedding preparations unfurled, Corey embarked on the quest for the perfect dress alongside her mum, eventually finding her dream gown in a Martina Liana creation at Love Ellie Bridal. Bridesmaids; friends Caoimhe, Catherine and Olivia along with cousin Julie were dressed in Pretty Lavish attire which added hues of camaraderie to the celebration. Gareth and his groomsmen; friends Ryan, James and Nathan with brother Simon and Usher’s brother Philip and Corey’s cousin Darragh were donned in outfits from Tom Morrow as they stood as pillars of support.
Amidst the whirlwind of planning, moments of serenity were found in a pre-wedding stay at the Slieve Russell, where menu tastings and shared visions offered solace. Yet, amongst the joyous chaos, the couple navigated the inevitable stress of administrative intricacies and timetables.
On 9th September 2023 Corey and Gareth were married in St. Mary’s Church in Maguiresbridge, followed by jubilant celebrations at the Slieve Russell Hotel. Amongst 136 cherished guests, the couple shared moments of laughter, surprise, and heartfelt connection.
As the day unfolded, surprises emerged, from a disguised singer’s serenade to a heartfelt gesture for Gareth’s father’s milestone birthday. Though rain briefly interrupted their outdoor photoshoot, it failed to dampen the spirits of the newlyweds and their entourage, who laughed through the showers.
Reflecting on their day, Corey and Gareth cherish memories of a shared dance floor, surrounded by loved ones, and the poignant realization of their enduring bond. With no regrets, they offer sage advice to future couples: embrace the journey, find joy in the planning, and relish the moments shared together.
Their honeymoon in Italy, exploring the timeless allure of Rome, Naples, and Sorrento, served as a fitting prologue to their married life. Now, as they embark on this new chapter, Corey and Gareth find solace in the familiar embrace of love, looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead.
