True Love Tuesday...Catherine and Adam.. - Getting Married in Northern Ireland Magazine

Catherine and Adam are child hood sweet hearts first meeting in Grammar school aged eleven and their time together in education continued as they both went on to study medicine at Queens University both graduating one week before their wedding.

After seven years dating each other Adam planned a very special trip to Edinburgh, he firstly visited Lunn’s, Belfast to purchase a beautiful rose gold diamond cluster ring and then asked Catherines father for his permission to marry Catherine, so with permission granted and the ring purchased the couple travelled to Scotland for a very romantic weekend. After a dinner date Catherien and Adam visited Edinburgh Castle where Adam got down on one knee and proposed to Catherine and of course she said yes.

The couple decided on the Roe Park Resort, Limavady for their wedding reception and chose their wedding date to be Friday 8^th July. There was no specific theme chosen for the wedding however lace and the colour pink were prominent throughout.

After visiting few bridal salons Catherine chose a Martina Liana wedding dress at Romantique Bridal in Magherafelt falling in love with the lace detailing and how easy it was to wear the dress. Catherines bridesmaids her sister Jessica and Adams sister Claire chose their dresses at Perfect Day in Lurgan. The groom, Adam and his grooms party chose their suits at Red Groomswear in Belfast.

The couple enjoyed fabulous weather all day on the day of their wedding, Make-up artist Rosemary Wright travelled to Catherines house on the morning of the wedding and Catherine had her hair styled by ‘Hair by Sinead’. After the wedding ceremony the guests were offered ice cream treats before travelling to the wedding reception at the Roe Park Resort.

The couple shared their first dance together as husband and wife to the song ‘ Chasing cars’ by Snow Patrol. Catherines advice to other couples planning their own wedding is “Take it all in- enjoy every moment of the planning and preparations as it goes in too quick. On the day, the small details do not matter. As long as you and your husband-to-be are happy and have all your family and friends there to see you get married, nothing else should matter.”
