True Love Tuesday: Caroline and Andrew

A proposal in the Japanese garden and Caroline and Andrew were engaged to be married. Caroline and Andrew met through mutual friends on a night out and their relationship grew to the stage were they decided to marry, Caroline said “We had talked about treating ourselves to a night away and some shopping, but it soon became apparent that we weren’t going where I had thought as he continued to drive further south.. Before I knew it we had stopped off at Powerscourt gardens in County Wicklow. It was beautiful and the sun was shining as we strolled through the estate. We sat down on a summer seat overlooking a japenese garden when he suddenly got down on 1 knee with the ring and popped the question. It was gorgeous and I was overwhelmed. We then stayed over in the Powerscourt hotel, it was amazing.”

The couple married five years after they met and had their vintage themed reception at the La Mon Hotel and Country club, Caroline had chosen the vintage theme and incorporated the theme in the wedding stationery, table décor and her lace wedding dress which she bought from Orchid bridal Studio in Portadown. Caroline’s bridesmaids, close friends Emma and Holly Forsythe visited Perfect Day were they found their prefect bridesmaid dresses. Andrew and his grooms party wore grey suits which they sourced from Statement menswear in Portadown.

Caroline and Andrew married in Downshire road Presbyterian Church, Newry and along with their 100 guests travelled to the La Mon Hotel and Country Club where the guests were treated to a delicious meal and entertained with the hilarious speeches according to Caroline! Both Caroline and Andrew said the highlight od their wedding day was “Having all our friends and family together to share our brilliant day”. The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife to the song “over and over again by Nathan Sykes. After the wedding Caroline and Andrew travelled to Mexico and New York for their honeymoon
