Good evening readers! Well, the sun has vanished again but today we’ve got the prettiest summer wedding; Aimee and Blaine are both Primary school teachers and certainly shared their passion for their careers throughout their beautiful day. Thanks to Sara Dalzell Photography for the images.
After initially meeting on the staircase of Stranmillis University whilst they were both training to become Primary teachers, Blaine planned a romantic December proposal in the grounds of Aimèe’s home which involved magical fairy lights and a stunning diamond ring. “As we walked down the dark path suddenly the trees were lit up overhead with fairy lights and Blaine got down on one knee. I was so shocked and burst in to tears before saying yes!” explained Aimèe.
The couple planned their July wedding with ease, keeping their choice of suppliers local with Corick House Hotel being the ideal choice. Being a true girly girl, Aimèe chose a soft pink colour scheme for her maids and floral arrangements which worked beautifully with her beaded gown from Serendipity Bridal Boutique. As they are both local Primary school teachers, pupils from their respective schools performed songs and readings during the ceremony, and formed a Guard of Honour as Aimèe and Blaine left the ceremony. The sweet school theme was also apparent on the Order of Service with a chalkboard effect and guests were treated to bundles of pencils for their favours with quirky sayings such as, tea & biscuits and me & you.
“It was a magical day, everything came together so well. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves and have a wonderful day. Having our pupils and their families take the time to attend our wedding and form a Guard of Honour was very special and really touching,” said Aimèe.
Aimee and Blaine jetted off on a luxurious honeymoon in the Maldives and Dubai and completed their summer holidays with a week in Spain before the new school year began!
