With a love of all things vintage and decadent afternoon teas, Carol and Conor’s Culloden Estate wedding was every inch the fairytale wedding.
Carol, a beauty therapist from Dungannon first met Conor over eight years ago through mutual friends. It didn’t take too long for either of the couple to know they were made for each other and in September 2013 after talking about getting married for a while they decided to choose the engagement ring together. As the platinum solitaire needed resizing Conor collected it and kept it secret whilst planning to surprise Carol. On Christmas Eve 2013 he hid the ring inside an iPad box and got the surprise he was after!
Carol immediately started to plan her wedding for March 2015 and chose the Culloden Estate & Spa for the reception, a venue she had visited many times before and enjoyed their delicious afternoon tea at. Wanting to add some elements of their stunning teas into her day, Carol chose a vintage style afternoon tea for her main theme, with stylish vintage fashion to compliment. She hired Melanie from Mood Events who looked after making the Cumberland Suite a vision in vintage with vintage crockery, birdcages, filled mason jars, candy table and LED dance floor, making the suite a stunning sight for Carol’s intimate party of 68 guests.
On her wedding day, March 28th, 2015 Carol wore an incredible Claire Pettibone wedding gown along with a bespoke Juliet cap veil from Rebekah from Visionary Veils. Her bridesmaid, Shannon wore a deep green gown from Castle Couture in Galgorm which suited the theme of the day perfectly. The flowers were kept loose and wild with strong accent shades of deep pink and purple, created by Janice Watt from The Flower Studio, Dungannon.
Following their ceremony at Clonmore Chapel the newly named Mr & Mrs Jordan headed to Culloden Estate & Spa where they were greeted by afternoon tea served with Prosecco, followed by a delicious five course meal and the evenings entertainment and arrival of the evening guests. During the interval whilst the buffet was being served three Charleston dancers, The Bellehoppers performed.
“Our day was brilliant, everyone enjoyed themselves and I got to marry my best friend! My advice to brides getting married is to not stress, everything will fall into place,” said Carol.
