Evening brides, and welcome to our first True Love Tuesday. In the Getting Married in NI office we are incredibly lucky to view so many beautiful weddings and celebrations- too many to fit inside the magazine. But, worry not, today we are introducing this weekly feature that will showcase more of those weddings we just don’t have room for.
Kicking off the love this week is Catherine and Grant’s stunning wedding in St.Patricks Church, Coleraine and their glorious marquee reception at Drenagh Estate, Limavady, photographed by the talented Ten21 Photography. This wedding brings together everything we love about a summer soiree, so on this damp evening, sit back and enjoy the magic!
The style factor on their wedding day was high, with Catherine dressing her petite frame in an off the shoulder lace gown and wearing a floral crown in her hair, which added to the whimsy vintage feel the couple we hoping for. Grant worked his magic in his trendy two piece suit with fun polka dot bow tie, which he pulled of with flair.
Wanting very much a relaxed day filled with fun and games, they worked tirelessly to look for special decorations and party favours, from auctions and car boot sales, to charity shops and websites. Catherine and her family even worked at making decorations for the wedding for nearly two years at the weekends, while Grant and his brother created unique decorations for the reception.
The cake table was nothing short of stunning! Created and dressed by Angel Cake Bakery in Coleraine, owner Kathy Dickie really created the prettiest of settings for Catherine and Grant. Shame to eat such beauty!
Though their day was magic from start to finish, Catherine admits her favourite moment was ‘definitely walking up the aisle to join Grant, it was everything I had imagined it would be, when I saw him at the top of the aisle, I couldn’t stop smiling.’
