Alan and Victoria’s guests were treated to a decadent do at their April wedding in the Manor House Country Hotel.

Alan and Victoria met through mutual friends in 2008 but Victoria was seeing someone at the time. Almost three years later Alan heard Victoria was now single and sent her a few messages via Facebook. “I ignored the last few and moved to Australia for work! Six months later after a night out with friends I sent Alan a message telling him I thought he was hot! He responded right away saying he thought the same about me. Over 10,000 Facebook messages and twelve months later I moved home and the rest is history!” said Victoria. The couple knew even before their first date that they were made for each other and Alan sealed the story by proposing during a date night in December 2014.

Knowing they didn’t want a long engagement they set their wedding date for only five months after their engagement, and mutually chose a Great Gatsby theme filled with glitz, glam and sparkle. As well as purchasing their first home and setting up a stationery and print business, Love Love Prints, the couple easily planned their beautiful day incorporating many of their own details. The Manor House Country Hotel in Kiladeas provided the ideal backdrop for their day, with friendly and helpful staff and a stunning setting.

On her wedding day Victoria had chosen a sublime wedding gown from McElhinneys Bridal, which featured long illusion sleeves and extra gold detailing which Debbie from Gibson Bespoke added to her gown. Her statement headpiece, veil and bolero added to the glamour of the day and were handmade by Gibson Bespoke in Portadown. Adding to the glamour of the day her bridesmaids wore gold sparkle full-length gowns, whilst their little flower girls wore ivory dresses.

Alan and his grooms party wore deep navy fitted suits with double breasted waistcoats and bow ties, supplied from Debonair in Portadown.

“The day was perfect to us, we loved every minute! It went way to fast just like everyone said it would!” said Victoria.
Music was an important element to both Alan and Victoria with guests being treated to Lorraine Matthews Harp & Voice during the ceremony, a saxophone player welcoming them to the reception and the smooth tones of Dave Martin and the Casino Cats during the evening reception. Victoria walked up the aisle to Marry Me by Train which Lorraine sang whilst playing the harp.

For both Alan and Victoria, seeing each other at the top of the aisle was their highlight!
