MAKEUP
For this make-up look I wanted it to be a bit more edgy and editorial, not like your natural typical bride. I first toned over her skin using the Pixi Glow Tonic toner – this helps to firm and tighten the skin. I prepared the skin with Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched skin base. I applied Milani Conceal and Perfect 2-1 foundation and concealer. I used my go-to blusher by Milani, Baked Blush Rose d’Oro. Then I bronzed her up using the Mac Blot Powder Press in Deep Dark. I did the eyes quite smoky and dark. For the eyes I primed them with the P.Louise Eye Primer – you will never find me without this in my kit. To brighten up under the eyes I used the Mac Studio Fix Concealer and Correct palette. To create the eye look, I used the Charlotte TIlbury Hollywood Flawless Filter eyeshadow palette – Star Aura, topped off with gel liner by LA.Girl along the top of the lash line. In the water line to darken it up slightly I used Kiko eye pencil colour Kajal. To finish the eye look, I used a slightly bigger pair of lashes – double wispies by Ardell – than I would normally use on a bride, and then added e.l.f. Big Mood mascara. For her brows, I touched in wee bits that where needed using the Senna Brow book palette. For her lips I still wanted to keep it fairly natural to make her eyes stand out but changed it up for different dresses to show how to create a different look. I started with Charlotte Tilbury in Pillow Talk glossed over with the Senna Lip Lacquer in Gorgeous. I highlighted using my Mac Hyper Real palette to enhance her natural features and even the inner corner of her eye to make the eye look pop. I then set the look using Laura Mercier Translucent loose powder and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless setting spray to hold the make up all day.

HAIR
To set Victoria’s hair I used a must-have product, PLI – L’Oréal professional range – this is brilliant for setting curls. I curled her hair with the Be Almai curling wand 32mm to add volume and bouncy curls. I used Got2b Volume Powder dust at her roots and back combed her tresses to create body. Then I smoothed out the hair with Maria Nila – True Soft Hair Oil, before finally adding Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray – this is a great spray for effortless undone styles with a long lasting hold. This is a popular upstyle for many brides, with lots of body and softly curled tendrals framing the face.

PHOTOGRAPHER
Bridal shoots with the Getting Married team are always fun and frantic. You would think that a fashion shoot would be less pressure than a real life wedding day but with so many beautiful dresses and hair/makeup styles to capture, you have to move really fast to make sure everything is captured. Having a fantastic model and creative team helps create the perfect style, with the stunning Manor House providing a majestic backdrop. My favourite part of the day was viewing the hotel without the usual wedding hassle and bustle – thus finding so many beautiful areas for photos. None more so than the front cover, shot against a painted wall which would normally be hidden behind the melee of wedding guests.
