DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It has been used for many years and has recently become popular as a celebrity must have treatment.
WHAT IS DERMAPLANING: AND WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING IT A TRY.
The most frequent remark people make after they start Dermaplaning is that their make-up seems to go on much better. Regardless of whether it is because of the exfoliation or because all of those tiny little hairs are gone(it`s probably both) make-up seems to go on more easily, and last longer. As with exfoliation, dermaplaning removes the top layers of dead skin, and leaves behind younger, fresher, and brighter skin. The act of exfoliation also helps to stimulate cell renewal, so it is definitely benefical in the long term. Dermaplaning also removes a lot of debris that prevents skincare serums and creams from adqquately penetrating into the skin. Regular exfoliation, when paired with the appropriate skincare routine, can reduce fine lines, fade hyperpigmentation and acne scars and overall improve the skin texture.
HOW IS DERMAPLANING DONE
As the first Dermaplaning technician in Northern Ireland I found this treatment fascinating and was addicted to watching it being done. Technically, theuse of specially designed butter blade that can only be used by a trained therapist, and I can say when I was doing the training for this treatment there were girls who just could not get the technique and should never have a blade in their hands.
QUESTIONS NORMALLY ASKED
How much does this treatment cost and how much time will I need for my treatrment?
A dermaplaning treatment normally costs between £60.00 and £100.00 depending on the area you are in and the type of Salon. Treatment normally takes 45 minutes.
Can anyone have this treatment done?
With exception of people with severe acne anybody can have this done. Even pregnant ladies as no chemicals are used during this treatment.
Does hair grow back darker and thicker?
No. There is no evidence to show that the hair will get courser with having this treatment.
