True Love Tuesday: Mollie & Walter

Good afternoon brides-to-be, we hope you’re having a good week so far. Today we’ve the magical monochrome wedding day of florist, Mollie to her beau, Walter. Married this past February in Portaferry, Mollie knew the style and theme her wedding day would take; lots of gold and sparkle to match her beautiful wedding gown! Mollie and Walter originally met at the Salt Water Brig’s charity event, Gig at the Brig and immediately hit it off. Keeping with tradition Walter asked Mollie’s father for her hand in marriage, and wasting no time went into the other room, where Mollie was and immediately popped the question! Her ring is a stunning square solitaire diamond on a yellow gold band.

With the ring in place, Mollie and Walter decided they would get married on their third anniversary, February 2nd, 2015. They chose the tiny local country church of St Patricks Church, Lisban which held precious memories for Mollie. Even know the church had no heating or electric with the help of family and friends it was decorated perfectly for their ceremony.

Unlike most brides Mollie chose the first wedding dress she had ever tried on! “We went to Pronuptia in Belfast and the dress I chose was the first one I had ever tried on! I tried a few others after but nothing compared to it. The colour, which is called Champagne and Coffee was perfect for me and worked beautifully with my black bridesmaids,” explained Mollie.

“Our day was amazing and absolutely flew by! It wasn’t without a few blips along the way though, the entire bridal party were on antibiotics and Walter got three cold sores a few days before the wedding- he has never had one in his life before! But all in all, the whole day was amazing and everyone had as wonderful a day as we did,” said Mollie.
