True Love Tuesday: Sarah and Darren

Sarah and Darren married on 1^st October 2016 in Emyvale County Monaghan and travelled to the Slieve Russell Hotel in County Cavan to celebrate their wedding with two hundred and sixty guests!

Sarah and Darren had met ten years earlier through a mutual friend, Louise and enjoyed a long happy relationship, to celebrate Darren’s 29^th birthday Sarah arranged a holiday where Darren tried on several occasions to propose to Sarah, eventually ‘popping the question’ to Sarah after a somewhat romantic meal!

A theme was chosen for the wedding, ‘Hollywood Glamour’ and Sarah her Mum, friends Aisling, Donna, cousin Grace and sister in law Catherine travelled to ‘Creative ideas’ in Armagh where they all found their perfect dresses. Sarah incorporated her theme in her choice of dresses and followed through into the design of their wedding cake and table décor.

Darren and his grooms party including his brother Alan and friends Kevin, Pauric and Shane visited ‘Red’ grooms wear in Cookstown where they hired their navy suits.

The couple chose wedding cars from Glendale Limousines in Omagh to compliment their theme and on arrival in the Slieve Russell greeted their 260 guests.

After the speeches (which Sarah says should come with a time limit!) the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife! Sarah and Darren honeymooned in New York, Las Vegas and Cancun.

Some tips from Sarah for future brides are;

“Enjoy every minute as it goes so quickly. Also don’t get too stressed as everything appears to fall into place on the day. Don’t waste money on numerous extras, we found one unique thing was generally enough.”
