One thing we love more than anything about our local weddings is so many of our lovely couples go for a unique approach to their wedding planning by adding special touches from their personality to make it bespoke to them. This afternoon’s couple, Lynn and Nathan did just that. Their day was filled with Nathan’s vintage tractors and rustic touches, handmade by Lynn. Thanks to Amy from Retrosight Photography for sharing this country gem with us.
Lynn and Nathan married last June in Carland Presbyterian Church, just outside Dungannon. As they had originally met at a vintage tractor charity run four years later it was obvious their day would have a rustic and country theme.
Lynn wore a beautiful short gown with a striking lace bodice and off the shoulder neckline and to keep her look simple she wore daisies in her hair, which reflected the theme of the day. Lynn’s bridesmaids wore pale mint dresses which worked perfectly with the wild flower bouquets, created by Susan McGrath.
On the bright and warm June morning as Nathan headed to the church to deliver his beloved tractors he was met by DOE workmen who were just about to start tarring the road outside the church! A little sweet-talking thankfully made them reschedule and the day continued without a hitch!
Look at the attention to detail in these fun cufflinks!
Following their ceremony the couple headed to Gracehall for their reception. The bespoke theme continued here with Lynn’s handicrafts taking pride of place on each of the tables. She had handmade all the bunting, table plan and table numbers for the day- don’t they look amazing!
Each guest received a small pot of homemade jam, again made and decorated by Lynn and Nathan.
“The personal touches were important for both of us as we really wanted to make the day our own and represent both our own personalities and hobbies, but also show who we are as a couple,” said Lynn.
The couple decided to delay their honeymoon and headed on a Mediterranean cruise this past January.
