Good afternoon, what is this weather at?! We are ready and waiting for warm sunny days, not snow showers mixed with a little hail! If you’re Tuesday is going as crazy as the weather outside we have the prettiest wedding story to share with you this afternoon. Laura and Craig were married in Omagh and held their reception at Manor House Country Hotel. Thanks to Steven Hanna Photography for the beautiful photos.
Dentist, Laura first met Craig at the University of Dundee, whilst they were both studying. “There was no defining moment when we realised it was a relationship that would last, but as we spent more time together and got to know each other better, we realised we didn’t want to be apart. It was inevitable really considering our similar personalities, sense of humour and interests!” said Laura. Craig proposed in February 2013 during a holiday in Malta after the couple had enjoyed a romantic meal. He had chosen a platinum ring with brilliant cut cluster diamonds.
Back home and with a wedding to plan for 18 months later, Laura was very organised and booked the major elements of the day fairly quickly, choosing to say I Do in her parish church, First Omagh Presbyterian, and the following reception in the idyllic Manor House Hotel in Killadeas.
With a clear theme of blush pink and bridal ivory, Laura visited Bride at Logan’s in Cloughmills where she found a wedding gown that was almost perfect. “On my visit to Logan’s, my mum and a very trusted friend were with me. I fell in love with the material and simple style of my Ronald Joyce dress but hadn’t really wanted a strapless gown so Dorothy suggested adding a sheer panel to transform it into the high neck style I was after. It turned out perfectly and Dorothy was fabulous help making my idea a reality,” added Laura.
“Our day couldn’t have been better! We had glorious weather which meant we could make use of the amazing grounds around the Manor House hotel for our photographs. The highlight of the day was when we were able to relax after all the formalities with a glass of bubbles and celebrate with our guests. We had many friends and family who had travelled from as far as Australia and America to be with us on the day, it was so special to have everyone we love in one place at the same time. I also really enjoyed Craig’s very sweet and touching speech,” said Laura.
