Would You Like to be a Tinsley….
ASKED RICHARD TINSLEY TO HIS GIRLFRIEND, DANIELLE MARMION,
ON CHRISTMAS DAY 2018 IN THE COMPANY OF THEIR DOG TAZ IN THEIR LIVING ROOM.
Danielle told us,’ It was a very laughable moment that we both won’t forget as Richard was very nervous and I was in a lot of shock and did not expect it!’
The ring is a beautiful criss-cross band with a central oval diamond encircled by smaller diamonds.
Danielle and Richard first met as teens and rekindled in later years. After ten years together, they decided to get married.
The couple began planning their wedding with Danielle finding her dress at Petticoat Lane in Hillsborough. It was the first shop Danielle went into and she found her dress. She told us, ‘The girls were so welcoming and made everything perfect. It was a wonderful experience.’ The dress was taken to Donna O’Hare at Sew Handy for alterations, who Danielle said she would have been lost without. Donna came the morning of the wedding and got her fully dressed and ready whilst simultaneously keeping everyone calm. Danielle said Donna’s support and help made the morning run so smoothly. The bridemaids’ dresses were made by Emma Murnion Design, who Danielle also highly recommends. Emma was able to fit the dresses perfect to all the girls while making them feel comfortable all day. She also made the mother of the bride’s outfit. Danielle said, ‘Every outfit was perfect. Emma is so talented at her work. I knew the dresses would all be perfect, and they most definitely were.’
After the planning, they set the date, set it again and finally got their wedding on their third date, no thanks to Covid. They had 150 at their wedding which was held in the Four Seasons Hotel, Carlingford.
Their theme was farming with hints of pink and green throughout. They were pictured with tractors, but the theme on the tables was pink candles and trees. Their families helped the most with the theme and décor, providing welcome savings to their budget. The couple said, ‘It was amazing and meant a lot to us. We would have been lost without all the creativity and ideas which made things happen.’
‘Faded’ by Alan Walker is a song the couple love and made it their first dance song.
Their advice for other couples getting married it to enjoy every minute of the day and try not to stress. Your wedding day is the fastest day, and it is about both of you.
Married life for the couple has been great, not much has changed other than the surname.
They are waiting for holiday restrictions to calm down so they can plan a proper honeymoon away since they have not had one just yet.
