True Bride gives us a glimpse of their signature styles and shares the key to a successful fashion campaign : location !
An eye-catching and captivating lookbook fo a brand’s website is crucial, it’s one of the first things a bride sees when starting to look for hedream dress and building her Pinterest board! Photoshoot preparation doesn’t happen overnight, it requires planning for weeks to get a team in place and find a suitable venue and once the day arrives, it isn’t easy work. It’s all hands on deck to get dresses steamed, models prepped and the set ready!
We spoke to True Bride about their latest shoot for their Autumn/Winter 2017/18 collections and the highs and lows of shooting in 30 degrees heat! “Our location was, in a word, stunning. We found it after weeks of searching for somewhere which had indoor cover should it rain, but also have plenty of scope for shooting outside. The British summer can’t be relied on after all!” The carefully chosen Northbrook Park in Surrey was the perfect spot for the team’s creative concept. “Our theme was ‘Secret Garden’ with a romantic, glamorous twist,” so designer Lydia was looking for a “pretty, walled garden with colour and charm”. Not as easy to find as it sounds. But once they found Northbrook Park they knew it would be the perfect backdrop for their dresses. With magnificent architecture, this grand wedding venue features a beautiful Orangery, enchanting gardens and picturesque surrounding countryside. The beautiful sunshine was a blessing, bringing a fresh and bright look to the images and showing off their pastel shaded bridesmaids to their best advantage. But with the glorious weather brought sweltering temperatures and a very hot team of models! Thankfully the resident peacocks kept the spirits high, not only were they very nosey and chatty, their colours were a visual delight. “They’ve become our inspiration for next season’s bridesmaid palette!” Known for its classic and feminine dresses with vintage styling and modern cuts, True Bride’s collections are directional yet wearable. Key features for the new season include varying necklines and dramatic low backs, some new fabrics including crepe and sequined tulles, and as always figure flattering silhouettes. They can’t wait to share their new images, here’s a behind the scenes taster of what’s to come.
