Flowers signal a celebration and really do bring life, colour and excitement to any wedding. Choosing the perfect florist for you is essential, but what do they really need to know about your and your wedding day to deliver the best possible florals? Today we share our secrets…
What is your favourite colour, and most hated colour? Do you have a favourite flower? Any flowers you don’t like? What season are you getting married? Do you want to use seasonal flowers? Have you a vision of how the day will look, or a specific theme? Do you have any colours you would like to be used? Would you like to add any other details, such as sparkle, charms, fruit etc? How many bouquets, buttonholes and arrangements do you need? Do you have a specific budget to stick to? Would you like to rent any additional display such as an arch, pew end, birdcages etc? Ceremony and reception location and contact details. Number of reception tables to be decorated. Are you planning on moving ceremony arrangements to reception? How tall is the bride, shape and colour of your wedding gown? Bridesmaids dress colour (bringing a swatch of fabric is a great idea)
Of course your florist will also need address details for both the bride and groom so that your flowers are delivered to the right place and on time before the ceremony begins!
