For 2022 there is a definite return to a more minimalistic look for Bridal Makeup. Dewy skin created by layering the new glass-like skin formulas that we’re seeing in foundations, with softer, brushed-up brows and fluffy lashes. Glossy lips are making a comeback and work beautifully with most bridal looks.

ESSENTIAL ADVICE FOR THE SPRING/SUMMER BRIDE

Wear a white or cream t-shirt to your trial so that you can check your makeup is not going to make you look too pale or washed out when you have your wedding dress on.

Take flash photos of your trial too to check for any ‘flashback’ – white areas undetectable to the naked eye but visible in photos.

Also remember to check your makeup in daylight too, to ensure your finish is flawless for any outdoor photo opportunities.

If you suffer from allergies, watery eyes or hay fever, take an antihistamine on the wedding morning so as to avoid any makeup misadventures.

In the run-up to their wedding, I would always advise my brides to follow these essential tips to have them looking their best on the day…

Up their water intake and try to eat their fruit and veg for healthy, radiant skin.

Keep to a regular skincare routine using their favourite products, and avoid trying anything new or different – now is not the time to experiment.
Book all your beauty appointments in advance. I recommend a good brow treatment, lash tint and if you have any concerns with your skin, book in a course of facials to make sure your skin is in tip-top condition.
