CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT! NOW THE TWO OF YOU CAN START PLANNING WHEN AND WHERE YOU’D LIKE TO GET MARRIED. THERE ARE SO MANY EXCITING OPTIONS, BUT SOMETIMES YOUR DREAMS CAN BE LIMITED BY RULES ABOUT ‘LICENSED PREMISES’ OR ‘ROOM CAPACITY’. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.
YOUR WEDDING, YOUR WAY
With a humanist ceremony, your location is entirely up to you, because our celebrants can conduct legally recognised weddings anywhere in Northern Ireland – any indoor venue or outdoor location of your choice. So, whether you’d like to get married at home or in a woodland glade, you can!
LOCATION IS KEY
Everyone has their own ideas of what makes a perfect wedding, but we can all agree that the location is key. Here in Northern Ireland, we’re spoilt for choice for idyllic settings. From stylish mansions and historic castles to spectacular sandy beaches and fabulous five-star hotels: there are just so many options.
MEANINGFUL, MEMORABLE LOCATIONS
With a humanist wedding you can have your ceremony in a place that’s meaningful to you: where you met, where you had your first date, where your proposal happened, or the castle of your dreams. It’s up to you!
DO WE NEED A LICENSED VENUE FOR OUR WEDDING?
Not if it’s being led by a Humanist Ceremonies celebrant. We can conduct weddings anywhere in Northern Ireland, making it possible for you to wed at Dunluce Castle, Tollymore Forest Park, Gleno Waterfall, or other stunning location you choose.
WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE AHUMANIST WEDDING?
A humanist wedding is the perfect choice if you want a non-religious ceremony that’s inclusive and totally personal to you. Unlike a civil ceremony, each script is bespoke and individually crafted, focusing entirely on the couple’s story. Our ceremonies are as unique as the love stories they celebrate.
ABOUT THE HUMANIST CEREMONIES CELEBRANT NETWORK
We’re the most experienced network of professional celebrants in the world. Our members pioneered non-religious ceremonies in 1896 and have been conducting award-winning, inclusive, love filled weddings ever since. We support marriage equality, and all our celebrants are proud to conduct opposite sex and same-sex weddings, and civil ceremony conversions (which are also legally recognised in Northern Ireland).
