Nuala and Marty’s wedding was a ceremony surrounded in love, overlooking the sea in Donegal, with the bride looking like a goddess in her grecian style gown.

From the moment their friendship blossomed into romance, Nuala and Marty knew their relationship was special. Marty planned a surprise city break to Venice with a romantic proposal at the Punta Della Dogana and the couple soon began to plan their dream day.

Their choice of venue was an easy decision to make, and once they booked the Redcastle Hotel in Donegal, their wedding plans came together quickly. They planned a fun and celebratory day for their friends and family, marrying in their families parish, The Church of the Assumption, Pomeroy.

Nuala and Marty’s summer wedding was held on August 8th, 2014, with Nuala wearing a stunning Grecian inspired gown with plunging back detail from The White Gallery Bridal Boutique in Warrenpoint.

“It was the very first dress I tried on and I absolutely loved it. Just to be sure I tried on many other dresses but none compared to the first one, I always knew it was the one”, explained Nuala.

To complete her look Nuala wore a headpiece and complementing arm cuff from Gibson Bespoke, teamed with red lips to achieve her overall Grecian goddess appearance.

Her four bridesmaids wore beautiful floaty aqua dresses, which were handmade by Nuala’s Godmother, dressmaker Nuala McCaffery. They featured simple cap sleeves, a draped neckline detail and lace accents. Marty and his guys cut a class act in black three-piece suits with double breasted waistcoats. Flowers were kept simple with sweet tones of ivory and pale pink being used by florist Stephen Mallon from Flowers For All Occasions.

Following their ceremony, Nuala and Marty, together with their guests, headed to Donegal, where a beautiful summer’s day awaited them, and proved the perfect backdrop for their official portraits.

Guests were treated to individual miniature bottles of whiskey, vodka and Bacardi from the new Mr and Mrs Harvey as a drink on them for their wedding favours!

“The highlight of our day was definitely our first dance to Coldplay ‘Sky Full of Stars’. All the guests joined in part way through and the dance floor never emptied all night”, added Nuala.

To round off their celebration, Nuala and Marty spent eight nights at the Grand Centara Hotel, Hua Hin in Thailand, followed by five nights at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on the palm in Dubai.
